The Office... progress

Rich and Matthew continue to work in the Office by night... hanging sheetrock.

The Ceiling is up and the Walls are started. Two walls are up!

I spent the afternoon working on preparing the kitchen for primer. My work goes like this... mud... sand... mud... sand... mud... sand... Off I go!

Was the ceiling hard to do? We're pulling ous down (most likely tomorrow) in the kitchen! Are you going to have s popcorn ceiling?

We're going to take that off too ... Sounds exciting!!!

Hey Kiwi! Happy Friday!

We use a sheetrock jack to lift ceiling pieces into place and for the upper parts of walls. See if you can rent one at Home Deport or Lowes.

We're sheetrocking 8000 sq' so we needed to buy one!

Don't really like the popcorn finish. I'm trying really hard to get the seams/fill holes smooth in the kitchen so not to have to do texture.

Is this your big work weekend?

Gidday Toni! Yes, we're on day two and time isn't co-operating with us! (Does it ever when your on a project???) We were hoping to get the ceiling down as well today, but we're still working on the plumbing ... moving the sink, dishwaster, reverse osmosis ... and correcting the plumbers errors as we go! Thinking it's going to be a late night!

8000 sq feet is huge! We purchased a popcorn remover today ... that also was on the 'to do' list, but will see what we can fit in tomorrow!!!

Seem to be spending a lot of time at Home Depot, Lowes, IKEA, and Costcos ...

Happy sheetrocking, mudding and sanding!

Hey Kiwi! I know what you mean!!! We've gotten most of our stuff from Lowes. It's to the point that most of the sales people know us! LOL!

Good luck getting stuff done... it's a bummer that stuff takes longer than you expect... I'm living it now!

Hey are you on facebook? Would love to be your friend!

Not too many of that name! I'll keep my eyes open for your request! Back to the reverse osmosis (one of the best things in my kitchen) and then the ceiling - popcorn (started earlier) down and ceiling down ... an other late one!

Say, did you think any more about the compost? My friend has one that she fills and rolls over her yard ... only it's a little smaller ....

Happy sheetrocking, mudding and sanding to you too!!!
